Overview

Once you have experienced a stay at the divine Leadwood Lodge youíll be longing to take root there as deeply as the ancient trees after which this boutique safari lodge is named. At Leadwood Lodge, the days are designed to thrill you with intimate safari encounters.
The intimate Leadwood Lodge is the ideal choice small groups of friends or family sharing an African safari. Nestled in the fork of the Sand and Mabrak Rivers. Leadwood Lodge offers a cosy and serene getaway that is completely at peace with the bush that surrounds it.

With only four suites carefully distanced from each other, Leadwood Lodge is ideal for families or parties of friends who want to share their safari experiences without intruding on each otherís privacy. When booked for individual use, rather than sole-use, we only ever use three suites, so the number of guests on the game drive vehicle is never more than six.

Shared guest areas are intimate too, with steps and levels creating cosy, secluded areas. When the chill of the African night creeps up, retire to the warmth and comfort of the fireplace in your private suite. The deep, free-standing tub in the bathroom beckons and the underfloor heating chases the chill from the smooth rock floor.

When the sun gets too hot, you too can have a refreshing dip in the king size plunge pool on the private deck of your suite.

Features:
Adjacent to the world renowned Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand Game Reserve is famed for its intimate wildlife encounters, particularly leopard viewing. Home to a host of wildlife, including the Big Five, the Sabi Sand is part of a conservation area that covers over two million hectares (almost five million acres), an area equivalent to the state of New Jersey and larger than some independent countries.

With no boundary fences between the reserve and the Kruger National Park, this area benefits from the great diversity of wildlife found in one of the richest wilderness areas on the African continent along with the additional benefits experienced on a private game reserve.

Game drives traverse an area of 10,000 hectares (24 ,700 acres) and strict vehicle limits at sighting ensure the exclusivity of your game viewing experience. Off-road driving ensures that you have the best possible view of any exceptional sighting and rangers are constantly in touch with each other to keep track of animal movements.

Dining:
The open-air dining room welcomes you with wholesome aromas and friendly faces. Linger over a leisurely meal under the roughly hewn bush chandelier or join in the hearty fare around a blazing fire in the boma.
